Utah Film Festival and Awards said about the film, Fighting For Allergy-Free Food:
There is a saying “ We are what we eat”, and for the longest time people are wondering what is happening to their health and this is because of the food that we have for intake. This documentary film is one of the most educational new added knowledge for me especially that most of the people who participated in the film (have) been diagnosed just like what I am feeling right now. Come to think of it, part of the world population are starving, but there (is a) portion who has the luxury to have anything that they can eat but there is a situation of food sensitivity and this is a new problem that society needs to solve. I am lucky to watch this film and gain the information that I do not know and because of that I am already aware and ready to have a healthy lifestyle. I wish that director Tamar Kummel and (her) crew will have more of this (kind of) film so that people around the globe can be informed and be saved.
Fighting For Allergy-Free Food is the rare film that is totally objective, investigative journalism. No agenda. Just the search for answers to why food allergies, sensitivity and intolerance has reached epidemic proportions, and what's next. 50% of the US population has food reactions, but may not know it. Is the government protecting us? What is genetically modified food? Is it safe? Where is this all heading? Tamar Kummel interviewed doctors, researchers, advocates, farmers and more in the search for answers. This film is a must see for everyone who eats food... or thinks they do. Tamar made this film not for the people who already know they have food sensitivities. She made it for everyone else. Pay attention to what you and your family eat.
