Planet Connections, New York’s premiere eco-friendly theater festival, seeks Literary Manager for its 2012 season. Duties include: assisting with the staged reading selection, logging scripts, discovering talented playwrights in the indie theater community, keeping up with former playwrights throughout the year by attending their productions, attending staged reading productions in June of 2012 and leading insightful talk backs. Literary Manager will receive two comps to all festivity productions. Interested applicants should be extroverted, and comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people. Applicants should be established playwrights or have experience working as an Assistant Literary Manager or Literary Manager. Applicants should have some daytime flexibility for the month of June as readings are usually scheduled during the week days. Applicants should also have a willingness to learn about and connect with New Yorks independent theater artists. Small stipend position but lots of free theater tickets and fun!
